William Olander, 43, of Horace, ND passed away Monday, September 15, 2014 after a battle with esophageal cancer.

Bill was born on October 29, 1970 in Fargo, ND where he was raised. He graduated from Fargo South High School and then joined the Marine Corps. He married his high school sweetheart on January 11, 1991 and they moved to Beaufort, SC. for a five year tour of duty. After an honorable discharge, they returned to Fargo, ND and raised their two children.

Bill was passionate about drag racing, enjoyed working on cars, cooking, and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was the proverbial “jack of all trades” and had mastered many of them.

He is survived by his wife Lisa; daughter Chelsey and son Jeffrey; his father Barry (Rebecca) Olander; mother Carolyn (LeRoy) Kuss; brothers John (Shari) Olander and Steve (Elsie) Olander; sister Nicole (Dave) Johnson; an uncle and nephews, nieces, and cousins. Bill was preceded in death by his grandparents.
