Wayne Lyman Miller

Wayne L. Miller, 71, of Lake Park, MN, formerly of Fargo, ND, died Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at Sanford Health in Sioux Falls, SD.

Wayne Lyman Miller was born March 2, 1943 in Fargo, ND to William and Ruth (Shirk) Miller. He attended schools in Fargo, graduating from Fargo Central High School in 1962. On June 21, 1962, Wayne married Virginia “Ginger” Norman in Fargo.

Wayne began his career in the insurance business after high school, and in 1974 he founded Fargo Moorhead Insurance. He operated the business until his retirement in 2012.
He was active in many different organizations in the area, including the Moorhead JC’s, Moorhead Chamber of Commerce, East Gate Masonic Lodge, El Zagal Shrine, Escort Motor Patrol, and was past president of the Mobil Nobles.

Wayne enjoyed the time he spent with his family. He will be in our hearts forever.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Ginger, Lake Park, MN; two sons, Jeffrey (Cheri) Miller, Moorhead, MN, and Gregory Miller, Reiles Acres, ND; siblings, Hallard (Darlene) Miller, Grand Forks, ND; Verdayne (Carol) Miller, Aumsville, OR; Mike (Jeri) Miller, Fridley, MN; grandchildren, Dustin Miller, Trista Bush, Melody and Erica Pearson; and four great-grandchildren, Alexis, Damian, Brynlei, and Zayden.
