Val and Carol Marback, husband and wife of 64 years, passed away just hours apart on Monday, December 6, 2021 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND.

Valentine Joseph Marback was born February 4, 1937 in Devils Lake, ND to Joseph and Catherine (Degenstein) Marback.

Joyce Carol Fjeld was born November 29, 1939 in McVille, ND to Carl and Marion (Gorthy) Fjeld.

Val and Carol met at a high school sporting event and things progressed from there. They were married June 24, 1957 in Tolna, ND. Together they raised four daughters in various cities throughout North Dakota, ending in West Fargo, ND.

Val and Carol did everything together, and it was only fitting that they would leave this earth together.

They are survived by their four daughters, Debbie (Robert) Wenzloff, West Fargo, ND; Susan (Joe) Bussell, Phoenix, AZ; Kathy Bush, West Fargo, ND; June (Cameron) Vondal, West Fargo, ND; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Val's siblings, Jim (Joette) Marback, and Terry (Denise) Marback.

They were preceded in death by their parents; and Carol's sisters, Beverly Miller and Mavis Anderson.
