Tommy Murdoff, 78, of Fargo, ND, died Friday, August 11, 2017 at the VA Hospital in Fargo, ND.
Tom Bruce Murdoff was born July 20, 1939 to Donald and Linda (Ochsner) Murdoff. Tom served in the US Navy from Feb. 1957 to July 1960. After his time in the Navy, he returned to Fargo, where he coached Babe Ruth baseball for more than 20 years. Tom was Babe Ruth state commissioner for 15 years. He also worked and owned his own elevator companies. He also loved his job of 30 years as a cab driver at Doyle Cab.
Tom was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, and partner. He loved fishing with his brother, watching the Minnesota Twins, and football. He loved spending time with his grandkids, and never wanted to miss a school concert, volleyball game, hockey game, or stock car race.
Tom is survived by his partner of 33 years, Dawn Teegarden; three children and three step-children, Marc (Briana), Jamestown, ND; Jayson, Bismarck, ND; Carla (Daniel) Burke, Hazelhurt, WI; Shane (Cindy) Albright, Dilworth, MN; Charity Teegarden, Fargo, ND; Donna Teegarden, Fargo, ND; ten grandchildren; and two brothers.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Eileen.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
