In Loving Memory of Timothy Hirchert
Timothy Hirchert, born July 19, 1988, passed away on September 2, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. He was the firstborn to parents Jana Christensen and Larry Hirchert, and from the start, he proudly embraced the role of big brother to his three younger sisters: Sara, Kimberly, and Taylor.
Tim was a force of nature-a stubborn soul who never wanted to be told what to do. That fire within him carried into every part of his life. At age 12, when he was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, Tim had no choice but to face challenges head-on. He fought a long and difficult battle with his illness, enduring countless hospital stays, but always finding the strength to pull through. His resilience was unmatched.
He loved food, baseball, attending the races in Hawley, MN, and the world of Batman-especially the Joker. Tim also enjoyed playing video games, which gave him an outlet and escape during his toughest days. Beyond his hobbies, what mattered most to him were the people who made his world brighter.
Becoming a father to his daughter, Bridgette, on May 16, 2009, was a moment that forever changed his life. Though his health made it difficult to always be present in the way he wanted, his love for Bridgette was undeniable. He often said that without her-and without his beloved nieces and nephews-there would have been no reason to keep fighting.
Tim's heart was both tough and tender. He carried his struggles quietly, often finding it hard to show his emotions, yet those who knew him best saw his deep sensitivity. Being the oldest sibling suited him-he thrived in that role, both protective and proud. His family was his anchor, and his presence will forever leave a void in their lives.
Though his path was not easy, Tim's determination and fight never wavered. Today, his battle is over. His pain is gone, and he is finally at peace.
He will be remembered with love by his parents, Jana, Gary, and Larry; his daughter, Bridgette; his sisters, Sara (with her husband, Jack and children, Norah, Marjorie, and Helen), Kimberly, and Taylor (with her partner, Ian and daughter, Elsie); his stepbrothers, Brian (with his wife, Tasha and children, Breanna, Tessa, and Teddy) and Derek (with his wife, Amanda and children, Gavin, Ava, and, Everett); along with many extended family and friends.
Tim - I will miss your stubbornness, your humor, and the way you loved in your own unique way. You were my big brother, my first friend, and no one will ever take your place. I hope you have finally found peace. Love always, your sister, Sara.
