Teresa Marie (Haug) Ali, 54, passed away on Feb. 7, at Essentia Health, Fargo. Teresa was born in McVille, N.D., to Paul and Barbara Haug. She grew up throughout the Midwest, graduated from Fargo South High School in 1978, and attended Northwest Technical College.

Teresa's passions were painting, animals and her family. She was an avid painter, and a member of the Red River Watercolor Society. She volunteered at a farm near Hawley, Minn. as a horse groomer, and most recently volunteered at CATS Cradle Shelter in Fargo.

She's survived by her daughter, Hana Ali (Charlotte, N.C.), her mom and dad, Paul and Barbara Haug (Fargo, N.D.), siblings Jeff (Carrie) Haug (Fargo, N.D.), Kathy (Ron) Constantine (Chicago, Ill.), Jim (Kim) Haug (West Fargo, N.D.), Jon (fiancée Meriko) Haug, Fargo, N.D., six nieces and nephews, and numerous friends and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to either the American Heart Association or CATS Cradle Shelter.
