Suzann Ruth Near

Suzann Near, 61, of Moorhead, MN, died April 11, 2016 with her daughter by her side at Essentia Health in Fargo, ND.

Suzann Ruth Snippen was born October 5, 1954 to Harvey and Clara (Schellack) Snippen in Fargo, ND. She was raised in Fargo, and graduated from Fargo North High School in 1973 after which she received her degree in nursing.

Suzann married Dale Near on August 31, 1974. They welcomed their daughter, Sienna, into the world August 4, 1977.

Suzann had many passions, but her family came first. She had a love for animals, was a caretaker and had a nursing career early on in life. She mentored and nurtured hundreds of junior bowlers and was a coach in house and of the All-Star Traveling Team, along with Steve. She enjoyed spending time on Pelican Lake. She had her own cleaning company, Nearly Perfect Cleaning, where she met many wonderful people and developed beautiful friendships. She was most recently a nanny to her beautiful granddaugter, Olivia.

Suzann is survived by her daughter, Sienna (Tim) Anderson, Fargo, ND; granddaughter, Olivia Noel Anderson; her dear friend, Jim Reckner and "Mom" Shirley Reckner; and many other life-long friendships and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Brad Snippen and Dale Near.
