Susan Delaine Lenthe was born in Breckenridge, Minnesota on July 2, 1948.
She earned a B.A. from the University of Texas in Austin in 1970.
For most of her adult working life she worked in women’s haute couture, starting in Paris at Christian Dior and finishing with a flourish as manager for a new Saks Fifth Avenue store in West Houston, Texas in the late 1980s.
After moving back to Moorhead permanently in 1997, she also bred and sold Corgi dogs, who became her beloved best friends.
