Susan H. Carlson, 53 of Fargo, died Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Sanford Palliative Care in Fargo.

Susan was born November 18, 1961 in East Tawas, MI, to parents William and Sarah “Sally” Freeland. With her father in the US Air Force, Susan and her family lived in many cities across the country. She graduated from Fargo North High School in 1979 and later went on to attend UND, where she would meet her husband Mark.

Susan and Mark were married on April 12, 1986 in Fargo, ND. They made their home in Colorado Springs before settling in Fargo in 1991, where Susan worked as a senior branch office administrator for Edward Jones.

She is survived by her parents, William and Sally Freeland of The Villages, FL; son, Craig (Kayla) Carlson of Fargo; daughter, Jennifer Carlson of Fargo; two grandchildren, Taylor and Emma Carlson; and brother, Scott Freeland of Baton Rouge, LA.
