Sherry Lee Hill, 60, of Fargo, ND passed away unexpectedly on April 12, 2026.
Sherry was born on December 3, 1965, in Fargo, ND, to Donald and Carol (Aaserude) Hill. She lived in Fargo throughout her life, graduated from Fargo North High School and later earned an associate degree as a legal secretary from Moorhead Technical Institute.
For the past decade, Sherry worked at the VA Hospital in Fargo, most recently as a secretary in the pharmacy department. She was known for her dedication to coworkers and veterans, as well as for her gift of brightening everyone’s day with her sense of humor and smile.
She was lovingly devoted to her daughter, Emily, and was a frequent classroom volunteer as Emily progressed through her education. Sherry was especially proud of Emily when she graduated with honors from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
An avid reader and music fan, Sherry participated in many local book clubs and looked forward to attending live concerts. Her quiet moments were spent enjoying puzzles, crocheting, and appreciating the outdoors. She especially cherished her close friends and the time she spent with her daughter, sister, nieces, and nephews.
Sherry is survived by her daughter, Emily Pekas of Fargo, ND; her sister, Stacey Keeler in Minneapolis, MN; and four nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home in Fargo, with visitation one hour prior.
