Sharron Lee Ahlfeldt, of Fargo, ND, was called into eternal life on Monday, May 14, 2018, after a courageous 6 year battle with cancer.
Sharron was born in Chicago, Il, on September 29, 1946, to Steve and Helen (Salazar) Burak. Sharron attended West Leyden High school where she graduated in 1964. Shortly after graduation, Sharron met the love of her life, Bill Ahlfeldt, at Automatic Electric (GTE), where they both worked. They married at Norwood Park Lutheran Church, in Chicago, Il, on September 18, 1965.
Sharron worked as an administrative assistant throughout her life ending her career with the Cass County State’s Attorney’s Office where she made many great memories and friends in the 10 years she worked there.
Sharron was a loving mother and grandmother, who enjoyed spending countless hours with her son Bill, daughter-in-law Stephanie, grandson Will, and granddaughter Ellie. She was so thankful and proud of her family.
Sharron, in her free time, loved nothing more than to cook for her family, often times inviting them over for dinner and games or a movie on the weekends. Sharron also loved painting and teaching her grandchildren how to paint and draw.
Sharron was an incredible person who was the definition of kindness, integrity and humility. She truly cared for others and was always ready with great advice for someone who asked. The way in which Sharron lived her life set a great example for others.
Sharron walked in the assurance of the living savior Jesus. She sought to follow Him. Sharron was a true care giver, prayer warrior, kind giving heart, listening ear, giver of encouragement, and friend. Sharron began and continued her faith walk through God’s grace by baptism, and confirmation. She lived and blessed the ministry she and Pr. Bill shared. She will be remembered and missed.
Sharron is survived by her husband of 52 years, Bill Ahlfeldt (Fargo, ND); son, Bill Ahlfeldt and daughter-in-law, Stephanie (Hamilton) Ahlfeldt (Fargo, ND); grandchildren, Will and Ellie Ahlfeldt (Fargo, ND); brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Janet Burak (Algonquin, IL); brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Karen Burak (Clifton Park, NY); niece, Allison Burak; nephews, David Burak, Dan (Sonia) Burak, and Matthew (Stacie) Burak; great-nieces, Brittney and Breanna Burak; extended family: John, Marian, Adam, Vanessa, Sofia, Jack, and Jude Hamilton; church family at First Lutheran Church, and her work family at Cass County Court House.
