Ronald E. Romsland of Moorhead, MN, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2013, at age 71, in his home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Ronald was born February 13, 1942, in Fargo, North Dakota to Millard and Virginia Romsland. Ronald graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1959 and then enlisted in the US Navy in 1960.

Ronald met Linda J. Wynn in 1958 and they were married upon his return from the service, June 7, 1963, in Fargo, North Dakota. Linda and Ron enjoyed traveling and spending time with their children and grandchildren. They were married 42 years before Linda passed away March 20, 2006.

Ronald worked in the freight business for 30 years. He drove for Buckingham Freight, Murphy Motor Freight, and went on to own and operate 3 Star Transfer Inc. for Lakeville Motor Express.

Ron is survived by: daughter, Julene M. Romsland and husband Troy of Grand Forks, ND; son, Derek Romsland and wife Charlene of Virginia Beach, VA; sister, Sherrin and husband John Chowning of Gualala, CA; brother, Richard Romsland and wife Linda of Kansas City, MO; brother, Robert Romsland and wife Sheila of Houston, TX; sister, Lynette and husband Ronald Royal of Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Chanel, Calvin, Ruby, Gunnar, and Tug; and close friend and companion, Donna Sell of Fargo, ND.
