Ronald Hellerud

Ron "PeeWee" Hellerud, 75, of Fargo, ND, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND.

Ron was born on January 30, 1950, to Alfred and Barbara (Mack) Hellerud in Billings, MT. He worked his entire career as a painter and taper, although there were very few things he could not do or fix. He was very well liked and respected by his bosses and coworkers as he liked and had pride in his work, he worked very hard and was great at it.

Ron loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He liked listening to music, playing cribbage, and competitive computer games. He liked watching movies and streaming series to keep him busy. He loved making people laugh.

Ron is survived by his wife, Susan Simonson; his brother, Andrew (Gene) Hellerud; his children, Colby Hellerud and Michelle Hellerud; and several grandchildren.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Barbara (Mack) Hellerud; his son, Joshua Hellerud; and several brothers and sisters.

The family would like to thank the staff at Sanford Hospital for making Ron's passing as comfortable and peaceful as possible. They would also like to thank the Sanford Dialysis Clinic for the compassion and patience they showed Ron and his family throughout his care.

The family will be having a celebration of life for Ron at a later time.
