Roger Bader, 93, of Fargo, ND, passed away on December 7, 2025, under the care of HIA Hospice.

Roger was born on November 14, 1932, to Herbert and Elsie (Konrad) Bader of Kulm, ND. He grew up on the family farm, attended country school through the eighth grade, and graduated from Kulm High School in 1950.

Roger taught in a country school for a year and a half before serving his country as a veteran of the Korean War. He married Ida Franz on May 22, 1955, and the couple made their home in Fargo. Roger attended business college and worked for Cargill Inc. before joining Surplus Tractor Parts Corp in 1960. Although he officially retired in 1996, he continued working as a property manager for Goodman Limited Partnership for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Ida.

Roger is survived by his children: Gwendolyn (David) Bader-Spong of Delano, MN; Scott (Suzette) Bader of the Philippines; and Michelle (Kelvin) Salathe of Perham, MN; as well as two grandchildren, Hunter and Samantha Salathe.

Burial will take place at Fargo National Cemetery, Harwood, ND in the spring.
