Robert "Bob" Kluvers

Bob Kluvers, 81, of Fargo, ND, died Sunday, December 5, 2010, at Elim Lutheran Home in Fargo. Robert Duane Kluvers was born May 26, 1929 in Litchville, ND to Bernard and Anna (Biesheuvel) Kluvers. He grew up on the family farm near Litchville, and graduated from Litchville High School in 1946. Bob graduated from Concordia College, Moorhead, MN in 1951, after which he served two years in the US Army during the Korean War. He then received his Masters Degree in Education from NDSU. He taught in various schools before moving to Fargo in 1968, where he taught German for twenty years, retiring in 1989. Bob was a founding member and elder at the Red River Reformed Church of West Fargo. Bob is survived by his brother, Steven Evert Kluvers, Tacoma, WA; three nieces, two nephews, and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Bernard John Kluvers, Jr. Funeral Service: 10:00AM, Friday, December 10, 2010, at Red River Church, West Fargo, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to the service. Burial: North Marion Cemetery, Marion, ND.
