Obituary
Robert Homer Yates was born March 25, 1918 in White Cloud, Kansas to Charles and Nellie Yates. He grew up and graduated high school in White Cloud, Kansas.
He married Ona Maxine Randall on May 16, 1942 in Olathe, Kansas. Robert served in the US Air Force as a radio operator. After WW II, they moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where Robert worked for 35 years as a Postal Clerk until his retirement. In 1986, they moved to Fargo, North Dakota.
Robert died Monday, April 1, 2013, surrounded by his family, at Sheyenne Crossings in West Fargo, ND.
Robert is survived by his daughter, Paula Thomas of Fargo and 2 grandchildren, Kevin and Kathleen Thomas, also of Fargo.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine; sister, Betty; brothers, Jack and Charles; his parents; and his son-in-law, Mack Thomas.
