Robert “Bob” Schmidt, 57, of Fargo, ND, died Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND. Bob was born February 10, 1954 to Fred and Ida (Roemmich) Schmidt in Jamestown, ND. He grew up on the family farm in the Crystal Springs/Tappen area. He has resided in Fargo at Friendship, Inc. for over 20 years. Bob is survived by his siblings, Linda(David) Besette, Tower City, ND; Ervin (Darlene) Schmidt, West Fargo, ND; David (Mary Ellen) Schmidt, Gillette, WY; 3 nieces and 6 nephews, Deb (John) Elsbernd, Fargo, ND; Mike (Michal) Schmidt, Glyndon, MN; Brenda (Lenny) Heupel, West Fargo, ND; Vicky (Tony) Gudajtes, Minto, ND; Brett Besette, Tower City, ND; Jerry (Anna) Schmidt, Gillette, WY; Freddy Sipe, Williston, ND; Thomas (Teena) Sipe, Fairview, MT; and Harlan Sipe, Deer Lodge, MT; 8 great-nieces and 10 great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Reuben; sister, Darlean Sipe; brother-in-law, Clinton Sipe; niece, Lori Sipe; and great-niece, Jordawn Sipe. Funeral Service: Monday, March 7, 2011 at 2PM at Hope Lutheran Church – North Campus, Fargo, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to the service. Inurnment: At a later date in the spring.
