Robert Odell Kind, 78, died on November 25, 2022, surrounded by family and friends at Essentia Health in Fargo, North Dakota.

Robert Kind was born in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, on April 7, 1944, to Julian and Martha (Anderson) Kind. He was raised in Moorhead, Minnesota, with his two brothers, Marvin and Dale, along with three sisters, Julyn, Linda, and Alice. After graduating from Moorhead High School, he joined the Army and was stationed in Germany. After returning home, he got a job with the Fargo Police Department in 1967. He dedicated 35 years of service to the FPD. He married Rita Joa in 1968; they went on to have two sons, Anthony and Jason. He loved his family, friends, and coworkers. He spent his free time playing golf and going on various hunting trips with his friends.

Robert is survived by his wife Rita and two sons, Anthony and Jason, along with his brother Dale and his three sisters.

Robert was preceded in passing by his parents and brother Marvin Kind.

The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors for the care he received at Essential Heath in his final days.
