Richard Emil Lisburg

Richard Emil Lisburg, 94, of West Fargo, ND, died Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Sanford Hospital Palliative Care, Fargo, ND. He was born to Belgian immigrants, Albert and Mary (Viaene) Lisburg in West Fargo on February 13, 1924.

He grew up on the family farm and attended rural school near West Fargo. He and Margie (Vraa) were married December 22, 1945. Richard worked in construction in Fargo before moving his family to a farm north-west of Gary, MN in 1949. They resided on farms near Gary, Ada, and Lockhart, MN before buying a farm north of Twin Valley, MN in 1962.
Richard and Margie divorced in 1970, and he moved to Fargo, ND. In 1972, he married Bernadine Stilwell and they were married 42 years until her death in 2014.

Since 2011, Richard had resided at Sheyenne Crossings, West Fargo. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and four brothers.
He is survived by sister, Marion, four children; Amy (Russell) Jacobson, Richard Jr. (Julie), Gary (Linda) and Wayne (Alice); Stepchildren, David (Jackie) Stilwell, Tommy (Teri) Stilwell, Gladys (Mike) Pollert, Danny (Angie) Stilwell, Bernice (Ken) Lamb; numerous grandchildren and his devoted nieces and nephews.
