Randy Gackle, 66, of Fargo, North Dakota, died on December 19, 2025, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo.

Randy was born on December 9, 1959, in Fargo, North Dakota, to Lloyd and Elaine (Bjur) Gackle.

He grew up in Fargo, attending local schools and graduating from Fargo North High School in 1978. He briefly attended NDSU before going to work for his father at Universal Services where he enjoyed interacting with customers.

Randy especially enjoyed spending time at the family lake place on Little McDonald Lake. He loved fishing, hunting, and playing billiards, and was an avid Bison football fan. He was proud of earning the rank of Eagle Scout. He was quiet and didn't express emotion much. He was reserved but watched and observed keenly. He had a special bond with his two dogs, Lucky and Coco. Randy loved to go hunting with his dad and brother and when his sons were old enough, hunting with them. He would love teasing his brother while he tried to sleep with afternoon sun shining in as they drove looking for ducks.

His two boys were his biggest source of pride. To Sunday school, baseball and football practice many of rides were spent together.

Randy is survived by his sons, Chris (Elaina Gonzalez-Gackle) Gackle and Lee (Cleone) Gackle; his parents, Lloyd and Elaine Gackle; his siblings, Jody (John Tuff) Gackle and Tim Gackle; and his grandchildren, Logan Gonzalez-Gackle, Aria Gonzalez-Gackle, Scarlett Gonzalez-Gackle, and Azalea Gackle.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home in Fargo, North Dakota, with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
