Randy was born February 29, 1952, to Lowell Otis Hahn and Audrey Mae Tack Hahn in Bemidji, MN. Shortly after his birth, they moved to Livingood, Alaska. In 1956, they moved to Mizpah, MN. Randy attended Mizpah Elementary School and Northome High School. On September 15, 1973 Randy married Rosemary Bradach in Mizpah, MN. On April 14, 1974, they were blessed with the birth of their daughter, Ellana Therese. In July of 1978, they moved to Moorhead, MN where Randy attended Moorhead Technical College, graduating from the Diesel Mechanic Program in May of 1980. While attending school, he worked nights for the Fargo School System as a janitor to support his family. He worked as a mechanic for Sweeney Brothers Tractor in Fargo from June 1980 to June 1988. He then worked for AC Equipment as shop foreman. In 1990, he purchased Neshiem Electric Inc. In January 1993, he married Pamela Kay Neshiem. In 1997, they started Mid-Plains Distributing Inc. which under his management became one of TECO-Westinghouse Motor Corporations top distributors for the last five years. Randy was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to share his expertise about the outdoors. He was animal lover. There wasn’t a stray dog or cat he turned away. He loved spending time with his family. Family was everything to Randy. Randy died December 13, 2010 after a six weeks battle with metastatic bone cancer. He was surrounded by loved ones at the time of his passing. Survivors include: His wife, Pam (Fargo); daughter, Ellana; son-in-law, Brett; granddaughters, Isabella and Scarlett (Farmington, MN); father, Otis and mother, Audrey (Roseau, MN); brother, David (Mary) of Hayward, Wisconsin; sister, Linda Hahn (Fargo); sister, Terri Link (Brian) Roseau, MN; and beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews , cousins and “adopted” daughter, Jeni Seyller (Brian); grandson, Grant and granddaughter, Lily. In lieu of flowers or memorials, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of the Red River Valley. His celebration of life party will be at 1:00 Saturday, December 18, 2010 at his home (4394 53 street south, Fargo). Randy will be leaving Hanson Runsvold Funeral Home in Fargo at noon. Friends and family are welcome to follow him to the house.
