Ralph Harold Erdahl, 96, died Thursday, July 25, 2013, at the VA Palliative/Hospice Care Unit.

Ralph was born in Fargo, February 28, 1917, and received his education in Fargo. He went on to work with his father in the construction business. He enlisted in the Navy, December, 1941. Being disabled in 1942, he served until being honorably discharged in 1944. He married his wife, Fern, in August 1946 and they lived in Fargo. He was employed by the Fargo Post Office from October, 1944 until he retired in 1973. Ralph enjoyed golf and traveled often to amputee golf tournaments, where he did very well in his flights. He will be very much remembered for his attitude towards life, his love for his family, his sacrifices, his humor and practical jokes.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Knute and Hulda; his wife of 59 years, Fern; his brother, Sven; and 6 sisters, Signe Eastlund, Clara Clark, Alma Johnk, Ellen Slyter, Ruth Groff, Eleanor Erdahl; and his daughter, Kathy Kvaale. He is survived by his 3 sons, Russell, Gary and Dale; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, and extended family.
