Priscilla Irene Helgeson, 86, of Sabin, MN, passed away peacefully, Friday, October 17, 2014 at River Pointe of Moorhead under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Priscilla was born November 27, 1927 to Emery and Francis (Verbout) Proulx in Argyle, MN. She married Harvey Burton Duane Helgeson on May 5, 1948 at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Fargo, ND. She worked as an LPN at St. Luke’s, Fargo Nursing Home, Americana, Moorhead, Manor Care, Fargo, NDSU Health Care Center and private duty nursing.

Priscilla enjoyed gardening, photography, polka & square dancing, traveling, crafts & painting, and sewing. She enjoyed traveling with her sister, Marie to Europe to visit her daughter, Linda.
She is survived by her six sons, Larry Helgeson, Leslie (Dianna) Helgeson, Lyle (Tammy) Helgeson, Lloyd Helgeson, Lowell (Dorothy) Helgeson and Leon Helgeson; daughter, Linda (Russell) Miller; four brothers, Earl Proulx, Crookston, MN, Edward Proulx, Billings, MT, Daniel Proulx, Houston, TX and George Proulx, Red Lake Falls, MN and two sisters, Marie Chaput, Red Lake Falls, MN and Alma Ferris, Silver Bay, MN; 22 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harvey; brothers Paul, Noel, and Edward Laurence Proulx; sister, Joan Proulx, and grandson, Jared Helgeson.

We will miss her greatly but she will always be in our hearts.
