Paul Howard Stark passed away on November 26, 2025, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota of cardiac arrest. Paul was born in Grafton, North Dakota on April 30, 1931, to Otto and Alda Stark.

Paul graduated from Central High School in Grand Forks, ND and attended the University of North Dakota.

In 1951 Paul enlisted in the Army during the Korean conflict. While in the Army he was attached to the medical corps as a surgical technician at Brooke Army Medical Center in Fort Sam Houston, Texas. He was also a Medical Aid Man and served in a dispensary unit. Paul was honorably discharged from the Army in 1952 and was transferred to the North Dakota National Guard where he served until 1958.

While home on leave he married Doris Jean Flaten of Park River, ND on December 15, 1951.

Together they had four children, Roxanne, David, Eric and Kevin.

As an executive with the Boy Scouts of America Paul and Doris lived in Grand Forks, Devils Lake and Stillwater, Minnesota before settling in Fargo, ND.

Paul was employed by Job Service of North Dakota at the time of his retirement.

Paul and Doris were members of First Lutheran Church in Fargo for many years. They enjoyed traveling to Oregon to visit their grandchildren and Arizona and volunteering at Medora. Paul also was an avid toy tractor collector. He had quite the collection of the Farmall, Case, and IH.

Doris passed away in 2003.

Paul met and married Lora Morris of West Fargo, ND in 2005. Lora passed away in 2018.

In 2020 Paul met Wanda Gray and they enjoyed 5 fun-filled years. We as a family are so thankful for the commitment that Wanda had for our Dad.

Paul is survived by daughter, Roxanne Hungerford (Rob); sons, David (Sue), Eric (Ellen); daughter in-law, Barbara; and granddaughters, Lesley Hungerford, Erin Hungerford and Heather Gatto (Matt), Carly (Stark); and great granddaughter, Lily Rose. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Alda Stark; his first wife, Doris Jean (Flaten); his son, Kevin and; his second wife, Lora (Morris).
