Obituary
Olive Elizabeth (Tangness) Lind, 83, of Fargo, ND, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Elim Care in Fargo.
Olive Elizabeth Tangness was born May 25, 1933 in Moorhead, MN to John and Gladys (Feragen) Tangness. She grew up on a farm near Hendrum, MN and attended school at Meadowlark School and Hendrum Consolidated School.
Olive graduated from North Dakota State University, with degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science. She worked for many years as a computer programmer for the Bank of New York in New York City. She married Gotfred Lind, and later divorced. After retirement she moved to Fargo, ND and spent the last years of her life at Pioneer House Assisted Living and Elim Care, where she enjoyed the care of wonderful staff members.
Olive is survived by one sister, Arlene Kowaliski, Payson, AZ; cousin, Emma (Jack) McKeever, Red Lake Falls, MN; friend, Vi Thum; and several cousins.
Celebration of Olive’s Life: 2:00pm, Thursday, March 23, 2017 at the Elim Care Chapel.
Burial: Concordia Cemetery in rural Hendrum, MN at a later date.
Memorials may be given in Olive’s memory to Hospice of the Red River Valley or a charity of your choice.
