Molly Moore

Molly was born on May 6, 1935, in Iola, Kansas, to Mason and Fern (nee Sackewitz) Dixon, the oldest of 4 children. She grew up in Lawrence, KS and played violin in the family orchestra. While attending Kansas University, she met the love of her life, Vaughn Moore. After marrying in 1956 and graduating from KU in 1957, they moved to Minneapolis, where they started raising their three daughters. The family moved to Fargo in 1975, where Molly finished her PhD in business education at UND, and then taught at MSU-M until 1999. Molly was a voracious reader, sang in the choir at the United Methodist Church, knitted sweaters that she donated, enjoyed traveling with Vaughn, and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by daughters, Kathryn Frost, Martha Moore, and Debra Moore (Todd Burnside); grandchildren, Anna Adrover (Miguel) and Johnathan Frost; great grandchildren, Fern and Willow Adrover; siblings, Nancy Dixon, Thomas (Karen) Dixon, and Michael (Lois) Dixon. Vaughn passed away 5 years ago after 64 years of marriage.

A family service will be held at a later date. Memorials can be sent to Faith United Methodist Church in Fargo.
