Mildred “Millie” Skugrud, 88, of Moorhead, MN, died Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Eventide on Eighth in Moorhead, MN.
Mildred Anne Bjornstad was born February 2, 1930 in Richville, MN to Henry and Gertrude (Bixby) Bjornstad. She graduated from high school in Perham, MN in 1948 and attended Northwestern Bible School in Minneapolis, graduating in 1951. She graduated from Moorhead State University in 1956.
Millie married Richard Lyle Skugrud on June 21, 1958 in Frazee, MN.
Millie taught school in Moorhead Public Schools for 28 years and retired in 1992. The loves of her life were her God, her family, and her cabin on Crystal Lake.
Millie is survived by her children, LeAnne (Donald) Bankers, Fargo, ND; Barb (Bruce) Otto, Minneapolis, MN; grandchildren, Ashley Buckley, Justin Bankers, Matthew Otto, Hayley Bankers, Hannah Otto; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Elaine Konold and Marilyn Beikler; and brothers, Willard Bjornstad and Howard Bjornstad.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; and brother, Robert Bjornstad.
