Mark Edward Hlebechuk, age 67, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2026 at HIA Hospice in Fargo, ND, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born December 24, 1958, in San Diego, CA, Mark was the second of five children born to Virginia and Theodore "Ted" Hlebechuk. Mark was raised in Fargo, ND and attended Fargo North High School.

Mark will be remembered by his friends and family as someone who brightened up the room, often pulling pranks and sharing jokes to make others laugh. He loved cooking and enjoyed finding a good deal. Mark especially enjoyed long road trips and camping over the years with his partner, Rhonda.

For several years, Mark lived in Litchville, ND working in maintenance for the public school. He truly enjoyed being around the kids and would do anything to put a smile on their faces, even dressing up as Batman and Santa Claus to make their day special.

Although he had no children of his own, he deeply cared for his family and enjoyed spending time with his special grandson, Bailey, and his great-grandson, Leonardo.

Mark's devotion lives on through his partner, Rhonda Manderfeld; father, Theodore "Ted" Hlebechuk (Joanne); brother, Jeff Hlebechuk; sisters, Kelly Fix (Richard) and Kris Christenson; niece, Jessica Christenson; nephews, Matthew Christenson, Andrew (Jess) Brammer, Adam (Meghan) Brammer; special grandson, Bailey Bring (Kady), and great-grandson Leonardo.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Wittkopp; step-father, Al Wittkopp; brother, Steve Hlebechuk; and nephew, Jason Halvorson.

A funeral service will be held at True North Church in Fargo, ND on Sunday, May 3, 2026 at 4:00 pm.
