Marjorie C. Olson, 86, died Saturday, January 30th at St. Mary's Hospital in Detroit Lakes, MN. Marge was the daughter of Eldon and Kathryn Bloom, born May 11, 1923 in Winstad, MN. She graduated from Fargo Central High in Fargo, ND. On February 13, 1947 she married Lyle Eldon Olson. During their 62 years of marriage they raised 4 children, James E Olson (Deb Nelson), Robert B. Olson (Alicia), Catherine D. Priewe (Chico) and Carol J. Linstad. During WWII Marge was proud of the fact that she helped weld airplanes out at Hector Airport. She was employed at NDSU in the Memorial Union for many years. After retirement they resided on Lake Maud and spent several winters in Arizona. Marge was an adamant Bridge player, enjoyed doing the yard work, and continuously upholstering different pieces of household furniture. Marge is also survived by nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and her sister Alyce Ness. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, John Bloom, and Burton Bloom. Memorial Service: Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at 7:00 PM at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Visitation: Tuesday, 6:00 – 7:00 PM at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home. Burial: Riverside Mausoleum, Fargo, ND.
