Marion Margaret Brown, 90, of Moorhead, died Friday, May 27, 2016 at Eventide Lutheran Home in Moorhead, MN.
Marion was born August 17, 1925 to Paul and Naomi (Walton) Barnes. Originally from Valley City, ND, Marion attended North Dakota State University.
She married Robert L. Brown in 1949. A military wife, she and Robert returned to Fargo upon his retirement. She became active in the community.
Marion was a long-time member of P.E.O., Messiah Lutheran Church, Order of Eastern Star, Fine Arts Club, and Mobilettes, the wives of the Mobile Nobles of El Zagal Shrine. She also volunteered at Sanford Health and was a Kappa Kappa Gamma Alum.
A loving mother and grandmother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert.
Marion is survived by her son, Paul (Judy) Brown, Fargo, ND; daughter, Roberta Brown, Naples, FL; grandchildren, Kristin Cicha, Omaha, NE, Grace Brown, Minneapolis, MN, Paul Brown, Minneapolis, MN, Max Brown, Golden, CO, and Mary Brown, Fargo, ND.
A private memorial service was held at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home on May 31, 2016.
