Margaret L. Kane, 89, of Fargo, ND, died Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at Bethany Retirement Living, Fargo. Margaret Louise Hawley was born October 1, 1921, in Kalamazoo, MI, daughter of Arthur and Jean Hawley. She attended school in Kalamazoo. Margaret married Willard G. Kane June 5, 1943. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, who loved her family and lived her faith through her volunteering and her work at various United Methodist Churches. She was a leader and administrator for the Girl Scout Council of Kalamazoo County. She enjoyed a variety of arts, including stained glass, quilting and flower arranging. She had a gift for creating beautiful things out of nothing. They lived in Kalamazoo and Boyne City, MI, prior to retiring to Englewood, FL. Margaret moved to Fargo, ND, in 2008. She is survived by a son, Greg Kane, Punta Gorda, FL; daughters, Roxann (Rick) Williams, Fargo, ND; and Holly (Cal) Moore, Colorado; grandchildren, Jonathan (Glenna) Kane; Jason (Kelly) Docsa; Aaron (Amy) Docsa; Rebecca (Nick) Dorsher; Rick Williams, Jr.; Michael (Paula) Williams; and Kim (Kevin) Burns; Damien and Braden Moore; 12 great-grandchildren; nephew, Norman Hawley; niece, Phyllis Baer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard; brothers, Herbert and Donald; her parents; and step-father, Marinus Scherenberg. The Memorial Service will be held next summer in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
