Obituary

MaKenzie Taylor Walkin was born in Fargo, ND, on September 13, 1995. She was a junior at West Fargo High School.

MaKenzie had a great passion for music – her favorite instrument was her clarinet, followed by piano/electronic keyboard and she was in the beginning stages of learning guitar. She was interested in becoming a music therapist. MaKenzie was in the process of composing a musical piece for her beloved Symphonic Band at West Fargo High.

MaKenzie had an uncompromising and loyal love for her sisters and brothers: Arianna, Ryder, Avah, and Gage; and she adored her nephew, Beckett. She was a fun-loving cousin to Breezee, Kailyn, Rex, Jett, and Chaylee.

MaKenzie is survived by her father, Damian (Deidra) Walkin; grandparents Henry and Gail Walkin, and Urshell and Terri Gerdon; uncles Corey, Austin (Camille) Walkin, and Paul Gerdon; aunts Lacey Walkin and Melissa Gerdon (Rod Krsnak); her very special great-uncle Tom and great-aunt Bonnie Walkin; great-aunt Carol (Jerry) Martinez; and great-grandpa Glenn Madson.

MaKenzie was preceded in death by her younger sister Hailley, cousin Max Walkin, as well as great-grandparents Hazel Madson, Shirley Bannert, Glenn Bannert, Edwin and Rosella Gerdon, and great-aunt Judy Gerdon.
