Lila Lucille Hazemann

Lila L. Hazemann, 80, Moorhead, MN, passed away on December 21, 2016 at Sanford Palliative Care, Fargo, ND.

Lila was born on January 14, 1936, to Carl and Mabel (Loberg) Peterson, in Fargo, North Dakota. Lila attended school in Harwood and Fargo. In 1983 she graduated from Moorhead State University with a BS Degree in Social Work. She went on to complete her coursework for a Masters in Counseling. She used her education by working at Community Living Services, Cass County Social Services, Lutheran Social Services and Moorhead Public Schools.

Lila was blessed in her union to Marvin Hazemann. They married on February 27, 1953 at a small intimate wedding in her parent’s home. Through their union they were blessed with 3 children. She couldn’t wait to be a grandmother and was fortunate to add 5 grandchildren to her family.
Lila will be remembered by her love of family, the lake, her artistic abilities, and her wiener dogs. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and her wonderful neighbors who always watched out for her.

She is survived by her daughter, Trish (Rob) Olson, Fargo; son, Danny Hazemann, Moorhead; daughter-in-law, Theresa Hazemann, Moorhead; 5 grandchildren: Justin Hazemann, Moorhead; Jenna Hazemann- Dang (Vu), Madison, WI; Jayd Olson (Taylor), Fargo; Sarae Olson, Fargo; Johnathon Hazemann, Moorhead; sister, Carol Jostad, Denver; her brother, Duane Peterson, Moorhead, and her wiener dog, Charlie.

Lila is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Hazemann; son, Jeffrey Hazemann; brothers, Merlin Peterson and Marvin Peterson and her parents, Carl and Mabel (Loberg) Peterson.
