Kimm Suzanne Salsman was born in Fargo on August 12, 1955 to Richard and Evelyn (Lee) Salsman. She attended Horace Mann, Ben Franklin, and Fargo North graduating in 1973. She lived in Fargo and on Cotton Lake, MN.

She married Greg Gronaas in 1976 and together they welcomed son, James in 1984. Kimm earned a degree in Business from Minnesota Technical College, Detroit Lakes, and worked in the ceramic tile business, real estate, and later for Valley Senior Services. She loved travel to Norway and to warm places like Jamaica and Mexico.

Kimm passed away June 21, 2026. She is survived by son, James Gronaas; granddaughter, Brynnlei Gronaas; brothers, Paul Salsman (Margaret Hinson) and Craig Salsman (Dawn Braaten); nephews, Evan (Carissa) Salsman, Ben Numeroff Salsman and Andrew Salsman; lifelong friend, Janine Barnstruble; and many friends and relatives in the US and Norway. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

By her request, no services are planned. Ashes will be scattered at her favorite places and family graves.
