Kevin Jon Lahren was born June 30, 1959 in Fargo, ND to Lester and Lorraine (Fredrickson) Lahren. He grew up and graduated from high school in Fargo. He worked at various production jobs in Fargo, Gem Car and most recently, at Fargo Hose Company.

Kevin married June (Albro) Flaten on August 8, 2003 in Fargo. They moved to Duluth, MN in 2010. Kevin died Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Solvay Hospice House in Duluth after a 2 ½ year battle with brain cancer. Kevin loved bowling, NASCAR (Dale Earnhardt, Jr.), Vikings football, and being with family and friends. Throughout his illness he was an inspiration to others with his positive attitude, and kept his independence as long as he possibly could. His faith was very important to him. He was a member of Hermantown Community Church.

Kevin is survived by his wife, June, Duluth, MN; daughter, Nickole, Austin TX; step-son Shawn Flaten, Duluth, MN; grandson, Eyzik, Austin, TX; brother, James (Jean) Lahren, Kuna, ID; sisters, Nancy Snyder, Diane Lahren, Joanne (Greg) Kaeding, Vicki (Terry) Kobilansky and Julie (Tom) Roush, all of Fargo; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Roger Lahren.
