Kathy Lomsdal, 59, of Fargo, ND, passed away peacefully Monday, November 19, 2012, at her home, under the care of her loving husband, Ron, and daughter, Nicole.

Kathy Lynn Asleson was born January 28, 1953 to Harris and Inez (Hanson) Asleson in Fargo, ND. She was raised and attended school in Ulen and graduated from Ulen-Hitterdal in 1971. Kathy married her high school sweetheart, Ronnie Lomsdal, on February 19, 1972 in Ulen, MN. She then worked numerous jobs to support her family and pay for her husband’s college education. They celebrated 40 years of marriage in February of 2012.

During her lifetime, she loved spending time with friends and family. She was an intelligent woman who enjoyed life to the fullest. She was a lifelong member of the VFW Post 762 Ladies Auxiliary and spent much of her time volunteering in the community. Her daughter and grandchildren were her life and she spent every available moment that she could with them.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Ron; daughter, Nicole (Jason) Benson, Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Katelyn and Conner Benson; mother, Inez Asleson, Ulen, MN; sisters, Sharon (Erling) Syverson, Frederick, WI; Judy Asleson, Mound, MN; Renae (Roger) Haglund, Fargo, ND; Kristi (Larry) Iseman, Peoria, AZ; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harris; and brother, Rick Asleson.
