Kathern Riedlinger, 87, Fargo, ND died peacefully in her sleep on Friday, November 28, 2025 at Heather's House Hospice Care in Fargo.

Kathy Riedlinger was born August 19, 1938 at Hague, ND to Malonia Materi Silbernagel and John C. Silbernagel. She was the oldest of seven children. Kathern grew up in the Hague-Zeeland area and studied nursing for a while. On November 5, 1960 Kathy married Gerald D. Riedinger at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Hazelton, ND.

Kathy and Gerry moved to Edgeley, ND in 1970. Kathy worked various jobs around Edgeley as well as raised her three children.

Kathy enjoyed sewing, gardening, fishing, and dancing, but her true passion was the love of family and friends. Her children's friends were treated as though they were hers, discipline and all. She organized large family reunions and wrote everything in her Bible. She was always strong in her faith and in her love of family.

Kathy lived in Edgeley until 2021 when she moved to Fargo with her daughter Cyndi to be closer to all her children. In 2024 she moved into Eventide. In 2025, she moved to New Perspectives, Fargo, where she resided until November 19, 2025. She was hospitalized for a short time, then transferred to Heather's House Hospice Care on November 26, 2025 where she was made very comfortable until her death on November 28.

Survivors include her three children, Cynthia Anderson, Horace, ND, Genise (William) Cox, Horace, ND, and Shane (Char) Riedlinger, West Fargo, ND; ten grandchildren, Whitnie (Bruce) Knutson, Erica Cox, Amber (Anthony) Ebhert, Lucas (Mariah) Riedlinger, Brook Hildre, Jackie Ross, Autumn (Hunter) Holverson, Chase Anderson, Breena Anderson, and Ashley (AJ) Davis; great-grandchildren, Zayne and Acen Riedlinger, Gunner Holverson, and Abel Ebhert; brother, John (Marie) Silbernagel; two sisters, Molly (Hank) Napolitan and Lavina Lee; many nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly; brother-in-law, Verlyn Riedlinger; and sister-in-law, Jeanette Tchosik.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Riedlinger; parents, Malonia and John Silbernagel; brother, Christy Silbernagel; three sisters, baby girl Silbernagel, Josephine Sosniecki, and Rosemary Burgad; in-laws, Helen and Jake Riedlinger; as well as several brothers and sisters-in-law.

Memorials are preferred to HIA Hospice.
