Obituary

Joyce Aileen Robinson Meyer, Age 90, Fargo, N.D., died Friday, September 4th, 2026 at Elim Nursing Home, surrounded by family and under the care of Hospice.

Joyce Aileen Robinson was born in Fargo, N.D. On July 6th, 1936 to Florence Larson Robinson and Charles Benjamin Robinson.

Joyce graduated from Fargo Central High in 1954. She married Clifford Duane Meyer on June 17th, 1955 in Fargo, ND.

Joyce worked for Sears & Roebuck's in downtown Fargo part-time while raising her family before going full-time at Sears. She worked at Sears until retirement in 1984.

After retiring from Sears at an early age, she took a break from retail at the request of her husband due to it interfering with his lake time.

Needing something to do, she went back to work part-time at JCPenney's for a few years.

Joyce was a member and involved with St. John's Lutheran Church for many years.

She enjoyed going to the lake, spending time with her grandkids and crocheting.

Joyce is survived by Robert (Donna} Meyer, Charles Meyer, Janna (Paul) Callahan, 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clifford Meyer; daughter, Julie Ganley; and son-in law, John Ganley Jr.

The funeral service will be on Thursday, September 10th at 11AM with preview at 10AM at St. John Lutheran Church in Fargo. She will be buried at Riverside Cemetery next to her husband, Clifford.

Joyce's family would like to thank the employees at Elim Nursing Home in Fargo for taking wonderful care of our Mom for the past 4 years.
