Obituary

Joseph Parsley, 76, of Fargo, ND, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at HIA Heather's House with his loving family by his side.

Joseph John Parsley was born on December 2, 1949, in Fargo, ND, to John and Minnie (Lykken) Parsley. Joe grew up in Warren, ND, and attended school in Davenport and later finishing in Horace, ND. He later owned and operated an auto shop in Horace for several years.

In 1967, he met the love of his life, June, through his brother, Albert. They were married on August 30, 1975, at Maple Sheyenne Lutheran Church. They later moved to Fargo, where in 1977 they purchased the home in which Joe operated Joey Parsley Sales, performing auto body work and buying and selling cars.

Joe had a lifelong passion for automobiles. He loved attending car shows, swap meets, and car auctions, watching Barrett-Jackson and Mecum auctions on television, and reading, researching, or watching anything related to cars. His family and their pets meant the world to him, and their little dog, Peanut, was a constant companion who traveled with them to many car shows and events. Joe also enjoyed country music, traveling with June to concerts featuring artists like George Jones and Alan Jackson, and was rarely seen without his western attire and cowboy boots.

Joe is survived by his wife of 51 years, June; brother, Clifford (Karen) Parsley; brother-in-law, Chuck Rhinhart; nieces and nephews, Geraldine (Jason) Olson, Ricky Parsley, Jamie Parsley, Lori (John) Vien, Tara Rhinhart, and Nathan Rhinhart; his adopted sister, MJ Huber; dogs, Peanut and Cisco; and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jim Parsley, Art Parsley, Albert Parsley, and Charlie Parsley; and infant brothers, Tom and George; and dogs, King and Lady.

Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 10, 2026, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND, with visitation one hour prior.
