John Sve

John Arthur Sve , 87, of Fargo, ND, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2011, at Elim Care Center. John was born June 9, 1923 in Fordville, ND, to Ole and Annette (Johnson) Sve. On May 9, 1947, he married Lulu Pfannsmith and they made their home in Grand Forks. John began working for Western Auto Parts in Grand Forks and became General Manager & Partner in 1972 at which time he & Lulu move to Fargo. He retired at age 65 and enjoyed playing golf, traveling and raising roses in his retirement years. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church since 1973. John is survived by his wife, Lulu, Fargo, ND; daughters, Ellen Joiner, Atlanta, GA and Yvonne Sve, Tampa, FL; granddaughter Kellie (Lawrence) Joe, Atlanta, GA; 3 great grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Alfred (Olga) Helland; and 4 nephews. Visitation will be at Messiah Lutheran Church on Friday from 10 to 11 am followed by funeral services at 11 am. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Fordville, ND, at a later date.
