Jim C. Reitan, 66, of Fargo, ND died on May 7, 2023 at his home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

James Curtis Reitan entered this world on October 17, 1956 in Fargo, ND, born to Albert and Kathryn (Bauers) Reitan. He started school in Casselton and later attended Fargo South High School. He worked for Kaye's Printing which later became Forum Communications Printing.

Jim served in the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1987.

Jim married Deb Solberg (Rod) September 1, 1989 in Fargo.

Jim enjoyed fishing, time at South Lida Lake, and always loved barbecuing. He enjoyed yardwork and spending time sitting on the deck observing nature.

He is survived by his wife, Deb Reitan; step-son, Chad (Megan) Solberg; step-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Ollie, and Ben; sister, Linda Paulson; brother, Steve (Rita) Reitan; nephews, Steve, Travis (Samantha), Matthew (Nikki); niece, Bobbie (Bob); uncle, Leander Reitan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his much-loved cat, Cody.
