James Vraa, 61, of Fargo, ND, died Tuesday, October 7, 2008, at MeritCare Hospital. James LeRoy Vraa was born on December 24, 1946, in Fargo, to Clifford and Gladys (Smith) Vraa. He grew up in Fargo and graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1964. He married Cheri Zarling on April 30, 1966. James worked for Bergstrom and Crow Furniture for 17 years. He also worked for various freight companies and then as a school bus driver. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren; going to the lakes; visiting with friends; going to the races; and watching the Vikings. He is survived by his wife, Cheri; his three children, Brian (Susan) Vraa, Stacy (Darwin) Adamson, and Jamie Kesler; his seven grandchildren, Anthony, Jordan, Christa, Nathan, Carly, Dustin and Gavin; his sisters, Cleone Scheel, Patty McGath, Shirley Straub, Diana Proulx, Janice Cossette and Betty Ranney. He is preceeded in death by his son, Jeff; his parents, Gladys and Clifford Vraa; his brothers, Jerry Vraa and Myron McMaster.
