Irma A. Jenson

Irma Jenson was taken from us on Sunday, July 1, 2012, surrounded by family, at the Eventide Senior Living Community in Moorhead, MN. Irma was 99 years old.

Irma Arlene Rosalind Tester was born on March 3, 1913 to Christ and Lizzie (Walder) Tester. She was raised in Frazee, MN, moving to Moorhead, MN following her graduation from high school in 1931. She was married in 1945, and continued to reside in the Fargo-Moorhead area the rest of her life. She worked at the American Legion Club in Fargo for over 40 years, into her late 70’s, which was almost a second home for her because of the many friends and relationships that were molded there.

She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a great friend to many. She will be greatly missed, and certainly never forgotten, as she left us with many of life’s lessons.
Irma was preceded in death by her parents, Christ and Lizzie; ex-husband, Jerald Jenson; sisters, Hilda Renollet, Bea Bublitz, Hilary Tester; brothers, Sam Tester and Milton Tester.

She is survived by her son, Terrence (Theo) Jenson; daughter, Patricia (Phil) Franzen; grandchildren, Breck (Mark) Von Bank, Ashley (Ryan) Syhre, Jennifer (Shane) Richards, John Giesinger, Marissa (Josh) West; great-grandchildren, Hattie Von Bank, Haley Von Bank, Parker Syhre, Maggie Syhre, Robert Richards, Rylie Richards, and September Giesinger.

A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held at the Bottolfson Chapel at Eventide on Eighth, 1405 7th Street South, Moorhead, MN, at 2:00PM, Friday, August 10, 2012.
