Ilene Fosmark Tehven, age 79, died June 4, 2026 at St. Catherine's North under the care of HIA Hospice.

Ilene was born in Pelican Rapids on September 6, 1946 to Norman and Inez Berg. She married Emery Fosmark on June 18, 1963. They had three children. Emery died in January of 1978. Ilene married Lowell Tehven in October of 1994 and Lowell died in 2017.

Ilene worked in many different areas at both Dakota and Sanford Hospitals. She was happy in all she did, made everyone smile and loved working with people.

Ilene had a great love for her eleven grandchildren and her one and only great-granddaughter.

Ilene was deeply rooted in her faith and is finally with the Lord and is free from pain and worries.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Emery and Lowell; her son, Chad; her son-in-law, Darren; and her three brothers, David, Doug, and Chuck.

Ilene leaves behind her two daughters, Kriston (Steve) Wenzel and Laura Fosmark; sister, LaVonne (Vern) Benson; brother, Mike (Linda) Berg; stepdaughter, Larissa (Mike) Tehven; sisters-in-law, Carolyn, June, Geri, Jeri and Vyda (Joe); grandchildren, Matthew (Brooke) Wenzel, Benjamin Wenzel, Tyler Fosmark, Amber Hettwer, Johnathan Fosmark, Jeremy Fosmark, Ashlyn (Dakota) Ibarra, Kayli Fosmark, Annie Fosmark, Nick Swanson, Sydney Swanson; and great-granddaughter, Georgia Wenzel.

Ilene will be missed by many.
