Helen Mae Reinders, age 89, was born April 25, 1925 to John and Grace Reinders in Athens, IL. She spent her early years in Athens, and graduated in 1941 from Jacksonville High School. She married Donald W. Scott on May 4, 1945. They began their married life in Jacksonville, IL followed by moves to Peoria and Quincy, Illinois where Helen worked as a receptionist at P & S Clinic. Upon their retirement they spent time in Fargo, ND; St. Louis, MO; Centralia, IL; and Pittsburg, KS. After the death of her husband, Helen moved to Moorhead, MN where she lived at The Fairmont and Eventide on Eighth. She passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones on July 1, 2014.

Helen is survived by her children, Steven (Kathy) Scott, Pittsburg, KS and Gale (Bill) Sharpe, Fargo, ND; a brother Jerry (Louise) Reinders, Springfield, IL; 7 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years; son, John Scott; brother, Henry Reinders; sister-in-law, Joyce Reinders; and sister, Fannie Murphy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Chaplain's Fund at Eventide on Eighth in Moorhead, MN.
