Hazel Nygaard Campbell, 82, of Fargo, ND died Friday, September 17, 2021 at Villa Maria in Fargo.
Hazel Irene Nygaard was born on August 20, 1939 in Jamestown, ND to G.W. and Rose (Dotson) Nygaard. She married Ernest Campbell in 1972. She spent her life running a daycare and loved the children she cared for like they were her own. They also owned Dakota Book Exchange in Fargo, ND.
Hazel is survived by her children, Danny (Elizabeth) Kelso, Kevin (Julie) Kelso, Brenda (Mark) Lattimore; grandchildren, Samantha, Mitchell, Alexander, Joeli; great-grandson, Gabe; stepchildren, Linda (Dennis), Bob (Rosemary), Marie; eleven stepgrandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; seven step-great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest E. Campbell; parents; ten siblings, and step-daughter, Carol (Bill).
