Obituary

Harvie Granger, 40, of Fargo, North Dakota, passed away unexpectedly from natural causes at his home on June 21, 2026.

Harvie was born on November 19, 1985, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Annette Granger and Ruallah Faruq. He attended school in Minneapolis and later as a Polar at North High School.

Although Harvie was not a father himself, he devoted much of his life to caring for children. He deeply loved his five nephews and treated them as his own, helping to raise them and many younger family members throughout the years. He was a mentor, role model, and steady presence in their lives.

Harvie was passionate about youth sports and dedicated his time to coaching youth football in the Fargo-Moorhead area with the Dynasty Football program. He found great fulfillment in helping young people grow both on and off the field.

He also had a passion for cooking and serving others through food. Most recently, he worked in dining services at Minnesota State University Moorhead, where his servant's heart was evident in the care he showed to those around him. Prior to that, he worked at a nursing home and took great pride in the relationships he built with residents.

Harvie was known as a protector and provider for his family. Whenever someone needed help, he was there. Whether it meant finding transportation, providing food or clothing, or simply showing up when he was needed most, Harvie gave generously of himself. His kindness, loyalty, and willingness to help others left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Harvie was preceded in death by his brother, Quwentyn; his uncles, Harvie Earl Granger and Wilbert Granger; and his aunts, Hilda Granger and Brenda Longmire; and cousin, Quintella Granger.

He is survived by his parents, Annette Granger and Ruallah Faruq; his brothers, Ruallah Demont and Brandon Bradford; sister, Brittany Granger; his five beloved nephews; numerous cousins, including Tondallia Granger and Albert Jerome Granger; his uncles, Howard Granger, Keith Early, Twyman Early, and Steve Early; and his aunt, Mary Granger.

Harvie will be laid to rest beside his brother at Crystal Lake Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
