Harold L. Brown was born September 2, 1929 to parents Earl and Mabel (Tegmeyer) Brown in Berthold, ND. He grew up in Berthold, where he also attended and graduated from high school. Harold worked for various farmers in the Berthold area, as well as on the family farm. Throughout his life, he was a "jack of all trades".
Harold married Linda Lambert on May 1, 1965 in Minot, ND. They made their home in Minot, where they raised their daughters and Harold worked for Trinity Nursing Home for over 16 years. They moved to Fargo in 2013. Harold was especially treasured by his grandchildren, who adored their “Papa”. His stories will live on.
Harold died November 2, 2015 at Eventide in Moorhead, surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Brown of Fargo; daughters, Leann (Mitchell) Donley and Melody Smith, both of Fargo; sisters, Vivian (Kenneth) Keyes and Marian Eshenko, both of Minot; and grandchildren, Mason and Garrett Donley, and Kylee and Gillian Smith, all of Fargo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Mabel, and brothers, Howard, Earl (Frances), Williard, and Gerald Brown.
Harold’s family would like to thank Hospice of the Red River Valley for the exceptional care they gave him.
