Halvor "Bud" Bjugson, 77, of Fargo, ND, passed away April 24, 2007, at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo. Halvor was born to Benjamin and Charlotte (Busch) Bjugson in Kloten, ND, May 18, 1929. Bud attended Kloten High School and Dakota Business College. He married Shirley Joan Sande June 18, 1949, in Moorhead, MN. Bud was a devoted father who, for the better part of his life, worked two fulltime jobs to provide for his family’s needs. He worked as a leadman at Branicks Manufacturing for 39 years, before retiring in 1991, due to health reasons. He also drove cab in the evenings and weekends for more than 25 years. If he had any free time, he would also drive truck for Western Products of Fargo. Bud served in the US Army and was a Legion member for 52 years. When Bud was not working, he was following his children and grandchildren in their sporting endeavors. Bud is survived by his wife, Shirley Bjugson, Fargo, ND; sons, Mitch (Tammy) Bjugson, Peachtree City, GA; Dave Bjugson, and Ladd Bjugson both of Fargo, ND; one sister, Mrs. Bertha (Peter) Schuck, Moorhead, MN; and four grandchildren, Ben, Bethany, Anja and Cole Bjugson. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Albert; and infant sister, Bertha. Bud will be missed by all his family and family friends. In lieu of flowers, family requests that memorials be sent to Fargo American Legion Baseball. Funeral Service will be Friday, April 27, 2007, at 11:00 AM at Plymouth Congregational Church in Fargo. Burial will be at the Valley Grove Cemetery in Kloten, ND, on April 28th at 11:00 AM.
