Greg Hanson, 51, of Hickson, ND, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Eventide Fargo after a long battle with cancer.

Gregory Jay Hanson was born on November 22, 1965 in Moorhead, MN to James and Lavonne (Braton) Hanson. He farmed his entire adult life and was owner/operator of Prairie Woodworks, his furniture repair and refinishing business. He was also a volunteer for the Horace Fire District for many years as a first responder and fire fighter.

Greg was a person of great faith and a special individual who was willing to help out whenever he was needed with little or no fanfare.

He was preceded in death by parents, Jim and Lavonne Hanson and brother, Scott. He is survived by sister, Becky, Fargo; brothers, Tim (Carol), West Fargo; Jeff (Sue), Barnesville; Mike, Horace; Joel (Amber), Fargo; Brad (Lisa), Fargo; Ryan (Heather), Moorhead and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service: 1:00pm, Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Lower Wild Rice and Red River Cemetery, Hickson, ND.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to a charity of your choice.
